In the Bible, the apostle Paul talks about praying that the thorn in his side be removed. Why did he want The Lord to remove this thorn? Well because this thorn was tormenting him.

Have you ever felt tormented or tortured by something. I know I can truly related because my skin is one of my thorns. It has tormented me long before I knew what the word meant. And just like Paul, I prayed for complete healing because of the embarrassment and humiliation I dealt with as a child and as an adult. 

From getting disgusted looks to asking me was I contagious, I'm pretty sure I've heard it all. It didn't only affect my self-esteem but my confidence even in the things I was good at. It took me a long time to get to a place to not only accept my thorn as a gift but to also realize I could still be confident in who I was in spite of a flare up or three. So, instead of drowning in self-defeat and depression, I chose to find a solution. 

Through prayer, research, trial, and error, OBB Aesthetics was born. It started with shea butter, but I soon discovered that I, along with my family, were topically allergic to nut butters. Mango butter became our base for every cream-based product and the rest is history. Even though OBB Aesthetics is only 5 years old in 2025, I've been making these products for my family for years. 

Now, what was once the biggest thorn of my life (still is in some ways) is also one of the biggest blessings for others. And as the business grows, this thorn continues to be a reminder of grace of God I've experienced while helping others find relief.
